I think it’s perfectly reasonable to expect that you still have some setting up to do when you get a new device. The only thing I haven’t checked yet is if my 1 Bixby routine made it over but I’ll probably check that out tomorrow. My Tab I only really use for media consumption and as far as I can tell, it’s exactly the same as it was on my Tab S7+ minus a few good lock tweaks. I use WhatsApp since I have friends overseas, and the Smart Switch app had a message informing me to do a manual backup, which I appreciated, since I would’ve forgotten about that. I was pretty impressed that Samsung even tells you which apps won’t transfer data over and prompts you manually back them up before wiping the old phone. Had to redo my custom clock and like 2 or 3 settings that I had toggled on Good Lock. The only thing that didn’t make it over was my Good Lock customizations. When I used it from S21+ to S22 Ultra, I let it sit for a while and as the above person noted, it took like maybe 30 minutes or so for all the apps to download and for my Home Screen to rearrange itself back to how it was.
Calendar info, unlocked notes, Safari bookmarks, all the important stuff made it over without a problem. I was genuinely impressed with how much was transferred from iOS. I’ve used Smart Switch 3 times now, from an iPhone to S21+, then S21+ to S22 Ultra, and Tab S7+ to Tab S8 Ultra.
